In my own search for green products, I felt there could be an easier way to locate green companies. I wanted to raise awareness of Canadians with respect to all the green options that were available, and also promote the use of green businesses, so I developed the green directory where you can search out all the local companies that have created environmentally sound businesses.


I live in Victoria, BC, where there seems to be a great emphasis on the environment, and I am hoping that as we travel across the country and research different communities, that we will find the same commitment to the environment, that seems to be growing here in Victoria.


One problem that exists on Vancouver Island is the lack of local food available. A huge percentage of our food supply is imported from different areas. There is a growing movement to buy local food so that we have a secure food source and also a better tasting product. That is spurring on backyard gardeners, like myself, to grow my own food.


In the search for green companies, I will be travelling across the country and hopefully discovering more great green businesses that I can promote online. I’m looking forward to meeting with like-minded people from coast to coast, as we follow the green direction.
